Eve Bazo is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, LCSW# 64382. She is a Oakland native & graduating from Skyline High School, Eve attended San Francisco State University & obtained her BA in Sociology. Eve then remained at SFSU to complete a graduate program where she earned a Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW).
Eve identifies very much as a local Bay Area native. She loves & thrives in the diverse environment both the Bay Area & her upbringing gave her. Having immigrated from Hong Kong, China at the age of one & assimilated from that culture, she identifies as being bi-cultural & bilingual, both Chinese & American. She grew up in a home where her first language was Cantonese. If there is one message Eve would like to share that is at the heart & core of her work, it is that – your story matters, your experiences matter, you are seen, you are heard, you are not alone, that it is important to talk about things that may be troubling you & to be fearless. You will find that Eve approaches her work with empathy, kindness, candor, & with a sense of humor.
Eve has worked as a social worker & clinician in the field of medical, mental, & behavioral health for more than 20 years. She’s had her own psychotherapy practice & has taught behavioral health classes for various medical centers that include couples communication. Her experience working with clients & patients is broad & diverse. She is a skilled, seasoned clinician who is experienced in medical specialties such as HIV care, oncology, neurology, & pediatrics. She would like people to know both emotional & physical health are equally important.
Eve has been married for almost 20 years & a parent to two bi-racial adolescents who are Asian & Latino. In her spare time, she enjoys running, races, meditation, music & film. She doesn’t like to cook, but appreciates food & all cuisines, she loves fine wine & upscale dining.
