Medical Advisor

Dr. Marcus Williams, MD is the Medical Advisor at Urban Health Group and a board-certified Emergency Medicine Physician in Oakland, California. Marcus spent most of his waking undergraduate hours focusing on basketball at Dominican University. His mother was hospitalized during his junior year from complications related to Multiple Myeloma; He was inspired by the doctors who cared for his mom in and out of the hospital. He graduated with honors from University Of California, Irvine, California College Of Medicine in 2012. After graduating from medical school at UC Irvine, he returned to his hometown of Oakland for residency in the Highland Hospital Emergency training program. Dr. Williams is an ongoing volunteer with Mentoring in Medicine and Science and, on Sundays you can find him relaxing, watching football.
