Adebola “Bola” Odunikan

Community Engagement Volunteer

Adebola “Bola” Odunikan is a multilingual Community Engagement Volunteer at Urban Health Group, LLC. Born in Lagos Island, Nigeria, his parents relocated their family to Oakland, California when he was a small child; the experience of navigating the labyrinths of bureaucratic government and healthcare systems in America as an immigrant inspired his desire to empower his community from a young age. A former college athlete who maintains his health with an array of holistic and conventional health practices, Bola earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology at California State University- Monterey Bay and is currently pursuing studies in nursing while serving as a STEM educator for Nexplore, a Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics curriculum serving Bay Area schools. A champion of community empowerment, he thrives when given opportunities to bring people together to achieve the greatness that lives inside of us, singularly and collectively.
